Magic in the Mountains: The Polar Express
From now until January 1, 2017 guests can enjoy THE POLAR EXPRESS, 1 1/4 hour round trip train ride through rolling mountain landscape. The train departs from the Bryson City depot and takes you and your loved ones all the way to the North Pole!
Enjoy the sounds of the classic motion picture as you sip warm cocoa, sing Christmas carols, and dine on holiday themed treats. Kids will love following along while the story is read aloud... all leading up to the magical ending when Santa Claus boards the train and presents each child with their very own silver sleigh bell.
The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad even offers The Polar Express themed merchandise that can be pre-ordered and picked up as you board the train. Parents and children alike will enjoy snuggling under a warm holiday fleece throw!
